So i rarely leave the house except for food, volunteering and a once a fortnight coffee catchup with friends.
Things get weird quickly, usually im to blame and start things off
But not this week...
Friend 1: "Since my quadruple bypass i cant use a number of things, a TENS machine, bluetooth...oh and Dawn Frasers vibrator" (Dawn Frazer is a much loved Aussie Olympian, markets a vibrating circulation booster you put your feet on). Said friend knew that i would act on this...
Friend 2: Chuckles and makes a few comments about Friend 1 having Dawn Frazers vibrator in the first place..
Me: Grabbing the first possible break in the conversation..."At least its not Keiran Perkins buttplug" (Kerian Perkins was also an Aussie olympian)
A day later i get a text from Friend 2 - "Thanks for putting me back into therapy"
Really i dont know he thinks that would help, ive put the GDP of some small countries through psychiatrists, and him knowing this, i dont know why he thinks that a valid course of action. Im not exactly a great advertisement for the efficacy of the mental health system
Side note: Both olympians were swimmers. Ive never recognised swimming as a sport, and neither should the IOC. I recognise it for what is, a survival mechanism. So when they get a medal what youre really saying to them is that you can survive fastest, which makes no sense, like the Olympics as a whole really.....
