I would like to thank you so much for inspiring me. I have been writing for years but nobody has taken me seriously because of my young age (I am only fourteen years old) Your books realistically represent teenage life, conflicts and emotions. The Outsiders is by far, the most amazing book I have ever read. Everything in the novel is so raw and heart wrenching and I write trying to capture the same feelings, the same mindset that you capture so well. It is so difficult to write this message and I'm worried that it's starting to sound a bit monotone because it really is hard to find words to describe how much I owe you. Every one of your books has taught me important lessons that can be applied to both my own writing and life. Thank you for everything. Thank you for realizing, at only sixteen years old, that there were teenage voices that demanded to be heard. You continue to be a huge inspiration to so many people both young and old. Stay gold
