When Hollis was DG MI5 (1956 - 1965) he asked Wing Commander Henry Arnold for a report on Victor Rothschild.
Arnold was a wartime MI5 officer, who post war, 1947, was a Security Officer for the British Atomic Energy Research at Harwell. Arnold was suspicious of Fuch (a German) whom he described as "too good to be true". Roger Hollis was responsible for dealing with the Fuchs file. Ministry cleared Fuchs due to his scientific knowledge for the bomb project.
