Donald Trump wants to become president of the United States. That is the most demanding and high-pressured job you can imagine. The president deals with so many issues and crisis several times a day, not just for days, weeks or months; but for years. He has to deal with countless world leaders and their different personalities.
The US president has command of the world’s most powerful military, and the awesome weapons used by that military. Therefore, he has to be in touch with common sense, logic, reality, and he has to have the right temperament to get along with people.
This is a job for someone thoughtful, rational, intelligent, mature, educated, and honest. In addition, the president has to realize he/she isn’t perfect and has shortcomings. Can you imagine Trump admitting he doesn’t have all the answers? Can you imagine Trump admitting someone else, other than him, has the answers?
Donald Trump doesn’t have the qualities you would like to see in a president. He doesn’t even have previous government experience. His “trump card,”no pun intended, is that he’s an alleged billionaire. A billionaire may prove he can make money, but it doesn’t prove he can run a country, or that he’s honest. Trump hasn’t run a city, a school board or a state. But he thinks he can run a country.
Moreover, if Trump thinks the presidential campaign is tough, he should try running a country, or even a city. The campaign would be small stuff by comparison, and as you can see the campaign has caused him to be two-thirds of a Rice Crispy. He has snapped, cracked, and now he seems ready to pop.
During the presidential campaign, Trump has shown over and over he doesn’t have the temperament to be president of the United States. The New York Times reported that Trump has insulted over 250 people during the presidential campaign. That list includes the Pope, a US Supreme Court Judge, fellow Republicans, women, a religion, the current president, two former presidents, an Hispanice judge, the medica, and many more.
If Trump thinks the presidential race is tough, he would go completely berserk if he was elected president. Already, he has shown signs he was lost his marbles. He accused President Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton of being the founders of ISIS.
How can someone who has insulted over 250 people for sport and who believes President Obama and Ms. Clinton are the founders of ISIS be looked upon as sane. If he was a 3-year old, you could understand it, because 3-year olds act like that. But Trump, presumably is an adult. What’s his excuse?
The behavior Trump has displayed throughout this campaign wouldn’t be accepted in a child. Most parents would strongly object to their children using slurs against others or insulting people for the sport of it. The people who support Trump should ask themselves why they will accept behavior in Trump they wouldn’t accept coming from their own children.
This man would be a complete embarrassment to this nation at a time the nation needs unity, and someone who can bring the country together; not divide it.
