Do u want to be successful? If u answered yes, do u know what it means to you to be successful? Read on.... Spend sometime this weekend thinking. Ask yourself, "What does success mean and look like to me?"
I mean specifically. More than just having a good job with a good salary, a happy family and good health. Most of us haven't really thought about it in great depth.
For example, if success is about having a good job with a good salary, what does that really mean? Describe the job. What are you doing? What kind of people are you working with? What does your daily schedule look like? How much money do you make? What benefits and perks do you have?
You will never be successful if you lack a clear vision of what success means to you.

To be succesful it is neccessary to take risks. Those who try have an opportunity to be great....those who sit and watch will always wish they had tried. When you take risks, you have the opportunity to inspire others and along the way it may lead to great things. When you fail when taking risks, you have the opportunity to learn and you even may find success out of failure. But more importantly, how you respond to failure could be more telling and inspiring to your followers. Take risks to be all you can be!

In order to become a successful leader you want to surround yourself with people who believe in you -your purpose, vision and mission. It is very difficult to achieve success when you have people telling you you're going to fail or it's not worth trying or you can't make a difference.

Last week I completed my first 90 days in retail banking.....and I must say the experience thus far has been absolutely phenomenal. Every day continues to be better than the previous one....a key reason for me being so happy is that I get to know each and every one of you a little bit better each and every day.
Every time I encounter colleagues from outside of retail banking, they ask me "how is it going?".....my immediate first response is "I love it here!!!!!!!...." followed by.... "This is an amazing group of people in the District!!!!!!!...." I want to thank each and every one of you for making this such a special experience.
Why am I sharing this with you? With over 600 employees spread out over 26 branches I knew it would be difficult for us to immediately connect on a personal level. This is one of the reasons I opened a Twitter account (https://twitter.com/#!/oliveru), so that we could stay connected in "real time." Using social media is my way of sharing what I am thinking.... hopefully it is something we can all embrace so that we can experience this journey together.
I share this with you so that you have a better sense of who I am and what I care about. As well as;
to connect with you since we share similar interests.
because it is difficult for me to stay in touch as often as I would like.
to bring you valuable and hopefully entertaining content.
But most IMPORTANTLY, as a "call to action" so that we can breakaway from the "limiting beliefs" that hold us back from achieving an unmistakable greatness.
My tag line below is the best way to describe "my way" and it is my hope that you will not only view me as your leader but as a person who is approachable and genuinely interested in what you are thinking and how you are feeling.
