"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close
the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes,
but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your
energy, or any of your time, or any of your space."
2011 has been quite a year. I achieved so much more than I thought I would, even with the lofty goals I had set. Small things like not biting my nails anymore to significant transformations like losing nearly 140lbs, building and starting a company and finding my true passion for my life and career. I dedicated time to personal and professional development and am, in my opinion, a better leader, entreprenuer, friend, relative and husband because of it. I became a reader, a coach, a blogger, a speaker and a business owner.
I have spent quality time building additional strength, bonds and love with my wife and my immediate family. I learned about myself while making sure to celebrate the good and acknowledging my areas for improvement.
I made connections, strengthened some relationships, ended others; all in the name of happiness and growth.
2012 will see me capitalizing on the discoveries I made in 2011 and working towards my ultimate picture of happiness. I want to thank everyone that helped to shape this past year for me, those of you that were supportive know that you have my unyielding support and love in return.
I hope your 2011 was equally telling and remarkable, if not more so. If you don't think it was a year in which you learned, thrived or grew then you are lucky...you have another chance to make it happen starting tomorrow.
