- @harrowcarers Sorry for the delay, Harrow has a strict priority of footway clearance and all available resources are fully committed working through the priorities. Whilst we appreciate the problems people have in moving around in severe weather, just like the carriageways, Harrow do not have the resources to clear every footway in the borough.
- @baldypaul70 It is not possible to grit all the roads in Harrow given the small window of opportunity we have for the task, and the resources we have available. All gritting routes have now been completed, however, we will be back out tonight to deal with surfaces that are freezing. All available resources are out clearing footways. All Priority 1 and 2 areas are clear and we have started on the priority 3 areas. There are no plans at the moment to start gritting side roads. Most are now compacted snow and or ice and spreading salt onto them will have very little effect.
- @heatherwh88 Whilst the majority of the major roads remain accessible, road & footway conditions, on minor roads, housing estates and in rural areas are becoming very poor which is making it difficult for large HGV collection vehicles and their crews to operate safely, more info here: http://ow.ly/gZV8G
- @sadiepearce sorry 4 the delay, works were on West St but we've notified people in the area that live close by, ie Crown. Works weren't completed at xmas due to bad weather, but are now planned for the earliest 19th March and the latest 8th April.
