Saw a commercial on the Falcons game just now about 1 senator who knows how bad Obamacare is, how it's gonna cost taxpayers trillions, jobs etc and how he has consistently fought it since it's inception and fought to repeal it. I thought it was a Ted Cruz commercial. Lindsey Graham... Lying sack of S*&^!

There it is the Rep stance to make us vote for R's again O'Reilly said it " If there is any hope in Removing Obama Care you will have to vote to put more Republicans in office" There is the carrot Rove is going to hold out their. That is exactly why they don't like Cruz if He fights and wins now that takes away their edge. So Roves tactics is allow it to go thru now then we have to vote R's to fix it. I say Fight now and prove we are worth the fight. Prove to me your are worth electing don't give me empty promises.

If Republicans and their staffers spent nearly as much time defending their principles as they do attacking other Republicans and Libertarians, then we likely wouldn't be in this mess.

My mom's nurse's husband is being deployed to 400 miles outside of Syria in 5 days... all the guys lined up for 4 sets of shots and a pill and told no more than 9 months... SO MUCH FOR ANYTHING CONGRESS will be able to do now... hope they get it right for the record! He has a 5 and 9 yr old this is 4th time in 4 years he is deployed... -

@glennbeck @patandStu You all were laughing at us in SC about the primaries and low and behold TX does the exact same thing SC does The Texas primary is semi-open, meaning that you do not have to register with a political party on your voter registration. On the primary election day, you simply request the ballot for the party primary in which you want to vote, and they will mark your voter registration card. You will get a new registration card every 2 years, so even if it gets stamped "Republican," by the next major primary you will have a blank one again.They have a half open and half closed primary.

Oconee County wants more of your money.
They can’t seem to get enough!
Did you know the Oconee County Council just raised property taxes by nearly a million dollars?
Now, without even taking a breath, they want to impose an additional 1% sales tax?
Why should you trust the County Council with even more of your money? They have:
Given away millions to private developers -- including $3.5 Million to build Pointe West, $1 Million to the City of Seneca to pay a developer to build the New Hampton Inn, and sold the old courthouse for ten dollars (and then gave the developer a $300,000 grant);
Purchased hundreds of acres for economic development speculations -- including $2.5 Million to purchase 415 acres at Echo Hills and $2.4 Million for site work for prospective manufacturers;
Robbed the road maintenance fund to pay for other things, while we are driving over potholes.
Councilman Joel Thrift has admitted that the county often uses road funds when dealing with other budget shortfalls.
This Council even wants you to vote for increasing your own taxes on a ballot referendum in November, 2014.
To top it all, the City of Seneca increased property taxes, utility rates, and hospitality and accommodation taxes.
And the City of Walhalla imposed rate increases on its utilities.
My wife and I are longtime residents of the county and, like you -- we are tired of the county government wasting our hard-earned money.
Will you join us in fighting against yet another intrusion into our wallets?
There is strength in numbers!
The voters in Oconee defeated a similar referendum back in 2006.
Let's stop this BEFORE it even gets on the ballot!
Here’s what you can do to help:
First, please sign this petition RIGHT NOW demanding that the County Council drop this 1% sales tax referendum.
Second, share this link with all your friends, family, and neighbors in Oconee County, so they can sign the petition too.
Ask them to join in the fight to prevent yet another intrusion into our wallets.
Do you know what’s worse?
According to Oconee County’s 2012 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), it appears that on June 30, 2012, the County had about $22.5 million in unrestricted funds (also known as a “slush fund.”)
Why are they asking for more money from you instead of using the available revenue sitting in their slush fund?
They’ve already increased property taxes, utility rates, and hospitality and accommodation taxes; now they want to impose a 1% sales tax!
Are you fed up?
Make sure you sign the petition!
Then, forward it to others and ask them to join the growing movement against this sales tax increase.
If taxpayers don’t act now to stop this, the County Council will continue to get away with squandering our hard-earned money.
By working together, we can thwart their plans.
Every time you pay more in taxes, you lose a little bit more of your freedom and liberty.
I believe we all can handle our money more frugally than the County Council, and we know how to spend it wisely.
