Hi,

Supporting Harrow Carers – Carers Week (June, 2013)

Harrow Carers supports over 2,500 carers living in Harrow who provide a hidden army of care looking after ill or frail parents and relatives, but who, often, struggle to get the support or recognition they deserve.

During Carers Week we hold various events right across the community to recognise their contribution. Many of our carers come from disadvantaged backgrounds and Carers Week is an opportunity to celebrate and talk about what a 24-hour job caring is.

We are a registered charity and are the leading carers support organisation in the London Borough of Harrow. We strive to safeguard the health and wellbeing of carers by providing respite breaks and assistance with health, social care, welfare and advice for a range of benefit issues.

We would be delighted if you, as part of our Carers Week activities, were able to donate a raffle gift we could give to a carer. Your contribution will be properly recorded with your gift. This year we are seeking the following donations:
•Gift vouchers (major retail stores and restaurants e.t.c)
•Cinema tickets
•Other such items
We are also looking for commercial support in helping us securing two small gazebos and catering support for our events. If you know of organisations able to help please do ask them to get in touch. All support and sponsorship will be properly recognised in our newsletter following Carers Week, circulated to 2.200 carers living in Harrow.

With just weeks to go to Carers Week, we are seeking gifts now and would greatly appreciate your support in helping recognise the huge contribution of young carers in Harrow.

Please contact us at. 020 8 868 5224/ Ben.White@harrowcarers.org or visit http://www.harrowcarers.org to learn more about what we do.

But for now we want to say thanks again for all your support and interest.
