Is the US using
the wrong strategy?

Government officials and journalists tell us all the time how successful ISIS has been attracting recruits. If ISIS has been so successful, maybe the United States should upgrade its propaganda machine.


Certainly, any group with followers, who get their jollies by beheading and killing innocent people, should be portrayed as deranged. That’s just how ISIS should be portrayed in the propaganda war. The nutty, deranged, lunatic angle should be played up more. ISIS is not a bunch of jihadists trying to right some religious wrong. On the contrary, they’re a bunch of backward, barbarians who are, in their minds, living in the stone age.


ISIS gives meaning to words like lunatic, crazy, savage, degenerate, uncivilized, and thugs. No self-respecting person, who claims to have a relationship with God, would commit mass murder, rape women for sport, or behead innocent people. But ISIS does those things and claim their actions are, incredibly, approved by God. What God? No God would approve what they do, unless their god is the devil.



Video could be used showing ISIS followers cheering and championing lunatic behavior and how their behavior conflicts with that of most Muslims, Christians, Jews, Buddists, and other civilized people.


The United States has great film and documentary producers. Their skills could be used to portray ISIS for what it is, a collection of crazed, lunatics who rejoice over the murder and rape of innocent people. Call them Lunatics, Inc.


Their behavior is typical of people with low self-esteem and a victim’s mentality. That low self-esteem is quite often the trigger for violence. These people are also mentally ill. So, let’s expose ISIS for what it really is. Deranged, degenerate lunatics. This strategy should complement the world’s military strategy.
