@OppPearlProject: Your tweet about songs about rape and abuse intrigued me. I was a civilian whistleblower so my song may be different than the others. "Digging in the Dirt" from @itspetergabriel was the song I listened to over and over as I drove to the @DoD_IG to testify against former and current Fort Meade CID agents and their actions against children. To me, the lyrics are a 2-way conversation between the man I cared for but knew I had to turn in and me. It is a song about facing reality, listening to your moral compass and not remaining quiet. It would take too much space to explain each verse, but I listen to it now and I feel proud of what my family did to make things right for the victims.
